Worship at Old Saint Martin's

Below are some photographs taken at some of our services during 2009. We hope that they will give you an impression of the style of worship that you will find at Old Saint Martin's and that you will be encouraged to join us.

Palm Sunday Procession

We start our procession from Saint Helen's church which is at the top of High Street. From there we process along High Street to Saint Nicholas, which is currently used as a bar. Here we stop for prayers and a blessing before moving on to Old Saint Martin's for our Mass.

Easter Vigil

Our Easter Vigil Mass takes place on the Saturday evening preceding Easter Sunday and is the highlight of the year as we celebrate Christ's resurrection and victory over death.

Remembrance Sunday 2009

This year's Mass was a beautifully sung setting of Faure's Requiem and was particularly moving as we remembered the passing of the last 3 veterans of World War 1 and all the young lives lost in Afghanistan in the last year.
